Job summary

Proviso East High School is seeking a Dance Assistant to organize, supervise, and promote a student organization in alignment with district goals. The sponsor serves as mentor and liaison to ensure a safe, inclusive extracurricular experience.

The role requires strong organizational and leadership abilities, working collaboratively with students and staff, and taking responsibility for duties beyond the instructional day. The stipend is set per the PTU agreement and district policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision for club activities and events.
• Ensure off-campus activities are approved and permissions secured.
• As a mandated reporter, comply with training and reporting obligations.
• Prepare students for participation and provide constructive feedback.
• Guide students in planning inclusive activities aligned with the club's mission.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage for events.
• Engage in communication with students, staff, and families regarding club operations.
