Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools District 209 seeks a Dance Assistant to support athletics and activities at Proviso West High School. This is an extra-duty, non-tenure stipend position reporting to the Director of Athletics and Activities and the Building Principal or Designee.

The role focuses on supervising clubs and activities, ensuring safety, compliance, and constructive student development, while coordinating with staff, students, and families about events and programs.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration in a school setting.
• Willingness to take responsibility for all duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision for club activities, ensuring safety and policy compliance.
• Ensure off-campus activities are district-approved with proper permissions.
• Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities under Illinois law and district policy.
• Guide students with clear expectations and feedback to support development.
• Coordinate logistics and facility use for events with school staff.
• Maintain timely communication with stakeholders about club operations.

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
