Job summary
Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Hydraulics Business Development Leader for the Dams Market to build our hydraulic engineering capabilities nationwide from Louisville, KY or other U.S. offices.
You will lead technical teams, drive business development, and deliver complex hydraulic projects, including spillway design, probabilistic risk analysis, and flood modeling, while mentoring staff and coordinating with clients across the country.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in water resources or environmental engineering.
- Professional registration (PE) required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years engineering consulting experience with dams and levees.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to grow hydraulics practice within Geosyntec's Dams and Levees high-growth area.
- Coordinate resources from the hydraulic/hydrologic team to support dam projects nationwide.
- Lead hydraulic analysis and modeling (1D/2D/3D) using various software; serve as technical advisor.
- Oversee rehabilitation and design of spillways and dam-related structures.
- Support probabilistic risk analysis, flood modeling, and breach studies.
- Lead business development, staff mentoring, and client interactions.
