Job summary

The US Army Corps of Engineers seeks a Maintenance Worker at the Gathright Dam to perform regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the dam and related facilities. You will operate a variety of vehicles and vessels and may be required to obtain boat and forklift licenses within the first year.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating and maintaining a dam and appurtenant structures.
• Must have valid state driver’s license.
• May be required to obtain boat and forklift operator licenses within 12 months.
• Pre-employment physical examination and drug testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Maintenance Worker at the Gathright Dam and performs regular maintenance duties.
• Operate and maintain the dam and intake tower; manage flood releases as needed.
• Inspect and repair project grounds and facilities to ensure proper operation.
• Operate vehicles and vessels including pickup trucks, skid steers, lawn tractors, forklifts, and motorboats.
