Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Dam and Hydropower Practice Leader to join our West Central team and guide regional programs across the Western United States. You’ll oversee dams, hydropower, and water supply projects, mentoring engineers and coordinating with clients, regulators, and community stakeholders to balance technical excellence with environmental stewardship.

In this senior role, you’ll drive design leadership, pursue business opportunities, and collaborate with Northwest and California

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record leading technical work and/or design management for complex projects.
• Proficient experience in dam, off-channel reservoir planning, hydropower, and fisheries engineering as a project manager or technical lead.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong technical design skills across contributing disciplines.
• Recognized by clients as a trusted expert with hydraulics and reservoir facility design knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams across dams, hydropower, and water storage projects.
• Engage with communities, agencies, tribal nations, and clients to balance technical and environmental goals.
• Support business development and may serve as Project Manager or Client Sales Lead.
• Collaborate with Northwest and California leadership and global communities to pursue water projects.
