Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions in Dallas is seeking a Dallas Workforce System Officer to provide executive leadership for Greater Dallas operations, guiding strategy, performance, and service delivery across nine workforce centers and contracted programs.

You will oversee board engagement, employer partnerships, and community collaborations, ensuring fiscal stewardship, risk management, and continuous improvement in alignment with board priorities.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of senior leadership experience overseeing complex workforce, economic development, or public-sector operations.
• Experience in workforce development, government contracting, human services, or related publicly funded environments.
• Proven ability to build strategic relationships with workforce boards, government partners, employers, economic development organizations, and community stakeholders.
• Strong executive leadership, financial acumen, strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of WIOA and federally funded workforce programs preferred.
• Ability to translate board priorities into actionable local initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior local system leader and primary contact for Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas President/CEO and other Board executives.
• Collaborate with Board leadership to identify emerging workforce challenges, service delivery opportunities, and strategies that strengthen regional workforce outcomes.
• Translate Board priorities and regional workforce strategies into actionable initiatives supported by project leadership and corporate resources.
• Provide executive-level insight into operational trends, employer needs, customer outcomes, and opportunities for workforce system improvement.
• Oversee partnerships with employers, industry associations, chambers of commerce, and economic development organizations to strengthen workforce alignment.
• Support development of partnerships that connect job seekers with high-demand occupations, credentials, and work-based learning.
• Represent Equus in appropriate regional workforce development discussions and collaborative efforts that advance Board priorities.
