The Anchor Restaurant & Grill, part of Vandelay Hospitality Group, seeks a Host to warmly welcome guests, manage seating, and coordinate with servers to ensure a memorable dining experience. You are the first and last impression, handling reservations, walk‑ins, and special requests with professionalism.

Requirements include a positive attitude, excellent communication, reliability, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and food handling certification as required by state and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Warm, positive attitude and ownership of the role.
• Excellent communication and clear, professional interaction.
• Team‑oriented mindset with reliability and punctuality.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass required training quizzes.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience.
• Certification for food handling as required by regulations.

Responsabilités

• Provide concierge-level hospitality from arrival through departure.
• Build guest relationships and foster a warm, familiar atmosphere.
• Strategize seating and dining flow using RESY and guest profiles.
• Maintain RESY notes and manage changes for bookings and events.
• Seat guests efficiently, balancing experience with availability.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and seating configurations.
• Answer calls with professionalism and warmth.
• Coordinate with servers and managers for smooth front‑of‑house operations.
• Assist with guest inquiries and special requests.
• Execute opening, mid‑shift, closing and side‑work procedures.
