Vandelay Hospitality Group is seeking a Host for D.L. Mack's to set the tone for every guest’s visit. You will greet guests warmly, manage reservations and walk-ins, and coordinate seating to maximize guest satisfaction. This role acts as the friendly, informed introduction to Vandelay’s hospitality standard.

You will collaborate with servers and managers, maintain RESY notes, and answer calls with genuine warmth. Growth opportunities abound in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Warm, positive attitude with ownership of the role.
• Exceptional attention to detail and clear communication.
• Team-oriented with punctuality and reliability.
• Willingness to complete training quizzes on service standards and guest experience.
• Genuine passion for creating memorable hospitality moments.
• Eagerness to learn, grow and develop within the position.
• Certification for food handling as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide concierge-level hospitality from arrival through departure.
• Build relationships with guests, engaging on a name‑to‑name basis.
• Strategize seating and dining flow by reviewing RESY and guest notes.
• Maintain RESY database with notes for private bookings and events.
• Seat guests efficiently, balancing experience with availability.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, layouts, and seat numbers.
• Answer phone calls with professionalism and warmth.
• Coordinate seating plans with servers and managers for smooth service.
• Assist with guest inquiries and special requests to exceed expectations.
• Execute opening, mid-shift, closing and side‑work procedures.
