Vandelay Hospitality Group is seeking a Host for Anchor Sushi Bar in Dallas to welcome guests, manage seating, and ensure a smooth front-of-house experience. This role serves as the first and last impression, requiring a friendly, professional demeanor and a commitment to hospitality.

Responsibilities include coordinating RESY reservations, maintaining notes, assisting with special requests, and upholding service standards. Training will cover guest experience and menu knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Positive attitude with ownership of the role.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and team-oriented.
• Willingness to complete training quizzes on service standards and guest experience.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest moments.
• State/local food handling certification compliance as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide concierge-level hospitality from arrival to departure.
• Build relationships with guests on a name-to-name basis.
• Strategize seating and dining room flow using RESY.
• Maintain RESY notes and manage private bookings and events.
• Seat guests efficiently balancing experience and table availability.
• Know menu items, table layouts, and seat numbers.
• Answer phones with professionalism and warmth.
• Coordinate seating plans with servers and managers.
• Assist with guest inquiries and special requests.
• Execute opening/closing side-work and keep host stand organized.
