Job summary

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and subpoenas, managing case files, coordinating document production, and performing factual and legal research under attorney supervision.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of paralegal experience in business litigation.
• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification/CLA preferred.
• Experience with complex case management and high-volume document review.
• Familiarity with trial preparation and courtroom procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support software.
• Strong understanding of court rules and procedures.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Draft, proofread, and format legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence
• Manage case files and maintain organized electronic and physical records
• Coordinate and manage document production, including e-discovery platforms and databases
• Conduct factual and legal research under attorney supervision
• Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and trial binders
• File documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing
• Track deadlines and manage litigation calendars
• Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel professionally and effectively
• Support attorneys during hearings, depositions, and trials as needed
• Other duties as assigned
