Job summary

Burnett Specialists Staffing | Recruiting is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal for its Houston, TX office. The role supports three partners and requires at least five years of litigation experience, with preferred exposure to construction, commercial, insurance defense, labor and employment, or business transactions.

The position is direct hire and full-time, with standard hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and a 100% in-office work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting attorneys in a litigation-focused practice.
• Experience in construction/commercial/insurance defense/labor and employment or business transactions is strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage substantial workload independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, revise, and format pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other legal documents.
• Assist with filings in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and admin proceedings.
• Prepare hearing and trial notebooks, exhibit binders, and witness files.
• Review and format contracts and transactional documents under attorney direction.
• Coordinate document production, discovery, and organization for litigation matters.
