Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Nampa, Idaho, is hiring a Recook Operator I to rework or recook cheese not packaged, transferring to a shredder for processing through the DMC system. The role supports production efficiency and quality control within a global dairy leader.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma preference, food-manufacturing exposure, and the ability to lift up to 40 lb and stand for long shifts. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet efficiency budget levels with maintaining a high-quality product.
• Operate shredder machinery to shred cheese efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor the shredding process to maintain optimal speed and quality standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reworking/recorking cheese, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Communicate any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities reworked/recorked and any quality issues encountered
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Take immediate corrective action for any product that does not meet quality or product specifications.
• Contribute to continual process improvement and increased performance.
• Participate in internal/external audits and maintain ISO22000/ISO9001/HACCP compliance.
