Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Nampa, Idaho, is hiring a Recook Operator I to rework or recook cheese not packaged, moving cheese from totes to a shredder and through the DMC system.

You will follow SOPs, maintain quality, log production data, and support audits and ISO/HACCP compliance. This role requires physical tasks and standing a full shift.

Qualifications

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Recook Operator I based in Nampa. The Recook Operator plays a crucial role in our production process by reworking or recooking cheese that wasn't packaged. This position involves transferring cheese from totes into a shredder for shredding and subsequent processing through the DMC (Dynamic Moisture Control) system

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Meet efficiency budget levels with maintaining a high-quality product.
• Operate shredder machinery to shred cheese efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor the shredding process to maintain optimal speed and quality standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reworking/recorking cheese, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Communicate any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities reworked/recorked and any quality issues encountered
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Take immediate corrective action for any product that does not meet quality or product specifications.
• Contribute to continual process improvement and increased performance.
• Participate in internal/external audits and maintain ISO22000/ISO9001/HACCP compliance.

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree preferred.

Experience

• Previous employment in a food industry/manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Basic understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
• Frequently required to lift up to 40 LB.
• Must be able to stand for the entire shift with repetitive bending, twisting, gripping, lifting, and reaching.
