Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Idaho (Nampa) is seeking a Recook Operator I to support cheese rework and recooking steps in our production line. You will transfer cheese from totes to a shredder and operate the DMC system.

You will follow SOPs, monitor quality, maintain records, and participate in audits to uphold ISO22000/ISO9001/HACCP standards. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork in a fast-paced dairy environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree preferred.
• Previous employment in a food industry/manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Frequently required to lift up to 40 LB.
• Must be able to stand for the entire shift with repetitive bending, twisting, gripping, lifting, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Meet efficiency budget levels with maintaining a high-quality product.
• Operate shredder machinery to shred cheese efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor the shredding process to maintain optimal speed and quality standards.
• Follow SOPs for reworking/recorking cheese, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Communicate any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities reworked/recorked and any quality issues encountered.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Take immediate corrective action for any product that does not meet quality or product specifications.
• Contribute to continual process improvement and increased performance.
• Participate in internal/external audits and maintain ISO22000/ISO9001/HACCP compliance.
