Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor Trainee to help develop and implement QA policies, conduct tests, and oversee QA systems across the plant.

You will provide leadership to the Quality/Lab team, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements and contributing to product quality and safety. The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to lead, and effective communication across departments.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field (preferred), or equivalent experience.
• Ability to evaluate production/packaging processes and determine the most efficient method to achieve goals.
• Ability to lead, influence, and motivate people.
• Working knowledge of computer programs (e.g., Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Support the plant Quality/Lab Department and provide leadership to plant personnel regarding quality requirements.
• Oversee QA systems to satisfy internal and customer requirements including HACCP, GMP, process specs, sanitation, and product storage.
• Communicate effectively with lab personnel, other departments, sister plants, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
