Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a QA-focused professional to support quality programs and regulatory compliance in a dairy manufacturing setting. You will review QC results, prepare weekly QA reports, and coordinate audits and lab testing to ensure customer specs are met.

The role requires a B.S. in Dairy or Food Science (or equivalent) with at least 2 years in a food/dairy facility; Spanish bilingual is a plus, and proficiency in Excel/Word, Maestro, and AS400 is desired.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree preferred in Dairy or Food Science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience; and minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a food/dairy manufacturing facility.
• Microbial lab experience preferred. Experience with SQF quality system, HAACP certification/training preferred.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

• Review, monitor and maintain quality programs (HAACP, Allergen, GMP, Pest Control, sanitation, sampling, environmental swabs, positive release, quality specs., master sanitation, weight control, metal detectors, microbiological and analytical information) for finished product compliance; conduct audits and inspections as required by our SQF system.
• Review and maintain all QC test results to assure customer specs are met.
• Prepare/update weekly QA reports.
• Assist management with regulatory, customer and internal compliance audits.
• Participate on the PSIR team; follow-up on customer complaints and returns.
• Identify and address QA documentation concerns/errors or potential QA/Food safety hazards.
• Maintains historical database of records; prepares reports and graphs.
• Generate customer COAs.
• Process and arrange all external lab samples for testing; monitor pest control program.
• Organize daily taste tests
• Perform inspections on raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Monitor the Hold and Positive Release programs/inventory.
• Perform other duties as requested by the QA Supervisor or Plant Manager
