Job summary

Open Gates Group, based near Kalona, IA, is a family of companies dedicated to the growth and manufacturing of local dairy products. We’re seeking Production Processors (Dairy Processor/Pasteurizer) to support production at our Farmers Creamery plant.

The Production Processor oversees safe intake, processing, and pasteurization of raw dairy with attention to detail and a commitment to food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Dairy, cheese, or food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read recipes, follow instructions, and record data in English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a wet, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment to produce safe, high-quality dairy products.
• Review instruction sheets and inspect equipment for contamination risk.
• Rotate through multiple tasks, monitor acidity, temperature, and pH during processing.
• Meet established processing rates and production targets; participate in start-up, changeovers and shutdowns.
• Perform sanitation and maintain GMP, safety, and quality standards.
• Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements.
