Open Gates Group, based near Kalona, IA, is a family of companies growing from a single creamery to 11 businesses that source, produce, and deliver Midwestern dairy products to over 3,500 stores nationwide. Our organic milk comes from grass-fed cows on small farms, pasteurized at the lowest legal temperature, non-homogenized, and verified regenerative through Land to Market.

We’re seeking Production Processors to support production at our Farmers Creamery plant.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Dairy/food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read recipes and follow written instructions in English.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-trained team.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment to produce safe, high-quality products per GMPs.
• Review instruction sheets and inspect equipment for contamination.
• Rotate tasks and monitor acidity, temperature, and pH during processing.
• Meet processing rates and production targets.
• Assist in start-up, changeovers, and shutdown procedures.
• Perform sanitation and clean-up to maintain food safety.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Keep up with new production tech and equipment.
• Uphold company policies and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
