Job summary

Select Milk Producers in Texas is seeking a Plant Supervisor to oversee the end-to-end receiving, processing, and packaging operations. You will supervise daily production, ensure sanitary practices, and uphold safety and quality standards. You will also assist in budgeting, KPI reviews, and training new staff within a cooperative environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on equipment operation, and collaboration with Plant Management to meet production goals and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with four years of leadership experience.
• Leadership, team development, coaching, and/or teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of product receiving, separators, membrane filtration, pasteurization, drying, warehouse and packaging.
• Monitor product specs to ensure target goals are met and deviations are reported.
• Identify and resolve process/equipment problems to maintain productivity and quality.
• Manage employees' performance by setting expectations and accountability, and addressing operational needs.
• Complete and follow production plans by scheduling personnel and monitoring progress.
• Participate in training and safety programs to improve area effectiveness.
• Ensure equipment performance aligns with customer specifications and report issues to management.
• Review KPI's and product quality with Plant Management.
• Train new personnel and supervise training initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement through efficiency initiatives.
