Job summary

Select Milk Producers is seeking a driven Plant Supervisor for the butter department to oversee daily operations and the production schedule, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards. You will coordinate with management on staffing, training, and continuous improvement initiatives within a large dairy facility.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and data-driven decision making in a dairy production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Dairy or Food Science and four years of experience in a Plant leadership role in a Dairy or Food Manufacturing facility is strongly desired.
• Must be able to trouble shoot problems and be persistent until a solution is found.
• Must work in a safe manner and follow all safety procedures including use of safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation and production schedule of the butter department.
• Review butter department daily to assure department is inspection ready and assist Quality Assurance with audits.
• Monitor overtime and staffing; provide training as needed.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and working; coordinate with plant management on maintenance.
• Be a member of the Food Safety Team and Food Quality Team and support continuous improvement efforts.
