Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company in Verona, VA is seeking a Pasteurizer/Batcher responsible for preparing products per recipes and pasteurizing to meet guidelines. You will follow GMPs, wear PPE, and maintain clean equipment while documenting results.

Essential duties include measuring ingredients, batch processing, operating pasteurizing systems, testing butterfat/solids, and ensuring timely, accurate paperwork. Training provided; attendance required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6+ months in manufacturing, dairy or related field preferred.
• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Measure ingredients, mix ingredients, and batch products to meet recipe guidelines.
• Take inventory and record lot numbers of ingredients used.
• Expertly execute the pasteurizing process including homogenization.
• Prepare pasteurized/raw tanks/set line circuits/CIP jumpers.
• Operate pasteurizing systems sending product to correct tanks or tankers.
• Run tests for butterfat and total solids.
• Set up tanks and line circuits for CIP, test chemicals and adjust as needed.
• Keep all support equipment clean to meet state and federal guidelines.
• Perform basic maintenance and replace parts on the equipment as necessary.
• Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.
