Lactalis US Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family, is hiring a Maintenance Technician II based in Brattleboro VT. This 12-hour shift with rotating days makes you a vital part of daily operations and continuous improvements in our dairy processing facility.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems, work with high/low voltage equipment, and support a safe, sanitary work environment while upholding OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Experience with TIG welding.
• 3+ years in maintenance or related role.
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting of pumps, valves, packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of 3-phase power, motors, relay logic.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical equipment and facilities.
• Perform emergency repairs in breakdown situations.
• Support 5-day rotating weekend shift; standby on weekends.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document work.
• Analyze electro/mechanical problems in dairy processing equipment.
• Work on transformers, motors, switchgear.
• Assist operators in shutdown decisions.
• Maintain daily records on maintenance software.
• Ensure OSHA compliance.
• Disassemble/assemble parts per manufacturer specs.
• HVAC and refrigeration system knowledge.
