Job summary

Lactalis USA is hiring a Maintenance Technician II based in Brattleboro, VT. This 12-hour shift with rotating days will support daily operations and continuous improvements across dairy processing and packaging equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance, troubleshooting pumps, valves, and packaging equipment, plus TIG welding and PLC familiarity. Join a leading dairy company with a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

Read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
Knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Boiler function and operation knowledge.
Metal working/machining skills.
3-5 years in maintenance or related field.
Able to TIG weld.
Industrial 3-phase power understanding.
Siemens/PLC knowledge preferred.
Power transmission equipment literacy.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical equipment and facilities in a safe environment.
Perform emergency repairs during breakdowns.
Work a 5-day schedule with rotating weekends and night standby.
Overtime and weekend availability as needed.
Follow OSHA safety guidelines and maintain documentation.
Maintain daily maintenance records in software.
Analyze electro/mechanical problems in dairy processing equipment.
Disassemble/assemble machine components per manufacturer specs.
Work on HVAC and refrigeration systems as needed.
