Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Dairy & Freezer Clerk to maintain and stock the dairy and freezer sections, ensuring product integrity and quick replenishment. The role supports merchandising, inventory control, and adherence to food safety standards while delivering friendly service to Members.

Responsibilities include planogram compliance, FIFO rotation, temperature checks, price/sign accuracy, and assisting with seasonal merchandising to drive department performance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations.
• Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Email) preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Stock dairy and freezer items according to planograms and maintain visual standards.
• Maintain cold chain and in-stock accuracy with temperature control and replenishment.
• Rotate products using FIFO to reduce waste and ensure quality.
• Check expiration dates and remove damaged or outdated items.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards including cleaning of equipment and shelves.
• Ensure accurate signage and pricing to support smooth checkout operations.
• Assist with seasonal merchandising initiatives and general club duties.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance to support operations.
