Job summary

The Dairy & Freezer Clerk at BJ’s Wholesale Club is responsible for maintaining the dairy and freezer sections with proper stocking, rotation, and product integrity while supporting merchandising and inventory control. You will help ensure food safety standards and deliver excellent service to Members in a fast-paced perishables environment.

Qualifications

1+ year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations preferred.
Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling.
Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

Stock dairy and freezer items according to planograms to maintain visual standards and inventory accuracy.
Maintain cold chain and in-stock accuracy by monitoring temperatures and replenishing items.
Rotate products using FIFO to reduce waste and preserve quality.
Conduct quality and date checks to ensure safety and freshness.
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards, including cleaning of coolers and shelving.
Monitor dairy/freezer in-stock levels and assist replenishment for a full, shoppable department.
Verify signage and pricing for accuracy to support smooth checkout.
