Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is hiring a production operator to run gable top carton, creamer, and bag-in-a-box filling lines. You will follow safety rules, maintain quality, and prepare materials for production.

The role requires basic math, ability to follow detailed instructions, and strong communication to coordinate with QA, maintenance, and supervisors. Some shifts include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification is helpful.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, food safety principles, chemical safety, and general industrial safety.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine processing and equipment issues using basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to perform basic math and data recording for production.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Food Safety & Quality responsibilities by following all safety rules and procedures.
• Comply with GMP, HACCP, and MSS standards.
• Complete MSS tasks weekly and report issues to management.
• Complete all paperwork, charts, and related documentation.
• Set up the filler for production and maintain line supplies.
• Perform sanitation and CIP of the filler and lines; maintain clean work area.
• Report maintenance-related issues to maintenance via system or form.
• Keep supervisor informed of actual vs planned production and downtime.
