Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction) is needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions, suggesting items.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of dairy specials and promotions.
• Provide customers with fresh products they order and check quality and dates.
• Recommend dairy items to ensure customer needs are met.
• Stock, label and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures and logs.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents, safety risks, or illegal activity.
• Manage conflicts calmly and work cooperatively in fast-paced environments.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support when interacting with minors, individuals with special needs, or older adults.
