Job summary

BD is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to set up, changeover, and maintain production equipment to meet quality and output goals. You will train operators and provide on-the-floor leadership while ensuring compliance with BD quality systems and safety regulations.

The role requires the ability to read and write in English, and a commitment to BD values. You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support a clean room or GMP environments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred in a mechanical related field.
• Mechanical skills/education/background required.

Responsibilities

• Perform changeovers and set up equipment properly.
• Keep equipment running to meet production and quality standards.
• Generate accurate maintenance records as required by management.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform preventive maintenance.
• Provide coverage for absent coworkers.
• Assist operators during breaks and support on-the-floor leadership.
• Lead teams in scheduling, process improvement, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Work safely, handle chemicals properly and ensure team safety.
• May work in a clean room and follow GMP rules.
• Other duties to support business needs.
