Job summary

University of Kentucky is seeking a Cytotechnologist to perform laboratory procedures under the Cytopathology Supervisor. This role requires accuracy in primary screening of cytology slides and proper recording of interpretations in the computer system.

Must hold ASCP CT certification by time of hire, and be able to work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Cytology students may apply with transcript; complete online application for full consideration.

Qualifications

• Must hold CT (ASCP) certification at time of hire.
• Experience with cytology slide screening and adequacy assessments.
• Familiar with ThinPrep, Cellient, and Hologic Imaging systems.
• Proficiency in using laboratory computer systems for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures under the Cytopathology Supervisor.
• Record procedures and enter interpretations in the computer system.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adapt to emergencies.
• Assist with projects as assigned by supervisor or director.
