Labcorp is seeking a Cytogenetic Technologist Trainee to join our Phoenix, AZ team. This entry-level role offers full training and exposure to routine cytogenetic techniques such as culture, karyotyping, FISH, and QC procedures.

New grads welcomed; work schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional overtime. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant science and ideally have ASCP Cytogenetics or AMT certification in the future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology is required.
• Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment; strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine cytogenetic procedures including tissue culture, harvesting, slide making and banding, automated karyotyping, FISH processing and probing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
