Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree with at least two years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of clinical laboratory operations.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Clerical and Basic Computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Proficient with electronic data processing systems (Cerner Powerchart, CoPath, Sunquest, Policy Manager and Lawson).
• Accurate transcription and reporting of test results in CoPath and manual log.
• Maintain QA/QC functions and audits and document related activities.
• Prepare data and statistical reports for regulatory reporting or continuous quality monitoring.
• Create and implement new Quarterly Audits under the direction of the Quality Systems Manager.
• Accession specimens accurately using electronic and manual systems.
• Provide administrative support to Cytogenetics laboratory staff and management.
• Maintain professional representation of the Department of Laboratories.
• Perform routine inventory and maintain supplies.
• Ensure regulatory compliant lab operations and safety practices.
