Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Annapolis Junction, MD, seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer (CSSE) to support the Sentinel program. You will translate cybersecurity requirements into system designs and guide security architecture across teams.

This role requires active clearance and expertise in DoD cybersecurity standards, RMF, and DevSecOps practices. Strong collaboration with government and industry partners is essential to deliver secure, mission-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, or CS; or 6 years of cyber SE experience in lieu of degree.
• Direct experience with NIST 800-160 or SDLC.
• Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Experience with RMF artifacts development per NIST SP 800-37.
• Ability to obtain cyber certifications within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement weapon system cybersecurity requirements across architecture to ensure cyber survivability.
• Guide security layout/architecture and influence tool selection.
• Assess security risks, attack surface, and verify protections are realized.
• Develop verification efforts to ensure cybersecurity protections are functional.
• Support security governance and risk management activities.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to meet program cyber requirements.
