Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Roy, UT is seeking an Associate Systems Security Engineer to join the Sentinel program within the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division.

The role blends traditional systems engineering with MBSE to ensure security, safety, and availability across complex aerospace systems. The candidate will analyze threats and risks, lead milestones, and collaborate across engineering disciplines while supporting government-clearance prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Be completing or has completed a degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) from an accredited institution.
• Majoring in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite.

Responsibilities

• Combine traditional Systems Engineering skills with Electrical Engineering to identify safety, security, or availability features using STPA guidelines and MBSE workspace.
• Understand and decompose systems to identify causal scenarios; construct control structures and identify unsafe actions.
• Assess threats, vulnerabilities, and risk for mission-critical functions through electrical CAD and schematic reviews.
• Lead and execute completion of Statement of Work requirements, milestones, and maturity commitments.
