Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer (CSSE) for the Sentinel program based in Roy, Utah. You will translate cyber requirements into system designs, guide security governance, and support verification efforts across teams to ensure robust cyber protections are integrated from the ground up.

The role requires experience in systems engineering, cybersecurity engineering, and the ability to obtain DoD clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, cybersecurity, computer engineering or computer science.
• Understanding of RMF assessment/authorization artifacts and DoD lifecycle processes.
• Experience with cybersecurity standards and DoD engineering practices.
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical decisions and guidance to enable timely, high quality product deliveries and flight-test events meeting cyber requirements.
• Collaborate with program systems engineers to satisfy program cyber requirements and objectives.
• Support development and enhancement of Launch and Missile Defense systems as part of a cyber team.
• Work with a cross-location team of government, NGMS, and suppliers on cybersecurity efforts.
• Ensure weapon system compliance with CNSSI 1253, DoD 8570/8140 guidance and related standards.
• Propose cyber architecture changes traceable to requirements and oversee implementation guidance.
• Develop and document standard cybersecurity engineering processes and procedures.
• Participate in engineering reviews covering requirements, design and implementation plans.
