Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) invites students in Cybersecurity, CS, IT to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program in Carmel, IN. You will work on cybersecurity operations, build automations, analyze logs, and help with threat hunts, contributing to grid reliability.

The program runs June 2 to August 13, 2027, averaging 40 hours per week on-site with housing assistance for qualified students and potential for part-time remote work during the school year.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing cybersecurity, computer science, information security, network security, or related field (undergrad or grad).
• Classes/projects in networking, operating systems, cybersecurity fundamentals, incident response, scripting, or log analysis.

• Protect the electric grid by supporting cybersecurity operations—build automations, improve detections, analyze logs, or assist with threat hunts.
• Learn how cybersecurity teams identify suspicious activity, investigate incidents, and strengthen defenses using industry tools and workflows.
• Improve CTAC and Security team processes by identifying recurring issues and proposing practical solutions.
• Attend community service events, intern socials, networking, and development programs to grow professionally.
• Wrap up with a final presentation summarizing project work, recommendations, and impact.
