Job summary

MISO is offering a 2027 Summer Internship Program in Carmel, IN for students pursuing Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Network Security, Information Technology, or related fields. You will work on real cybersecurity operations, building automations, improving detections, analyzing logs, and assisting with threat hunts.

Learn how security teams identify incidents, strengthen defenses, and participate in professional development events.

Qualifications

• Masters/Bachelors in IT/CS/CE or Cybersecurity preferred.
• Hands-on Python, PowerShell, and scripting experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Support real cybersecurity operations by building simple automations, improving detections, and analyzing logs.
• Assist with threat hunts and investigations to strengthen defenses.
• Learn how cybersecurity teams identify suspicious activity and respond to incidents.
• Participate in CTAC/Security processes improvement and document recurring issues.
• Attend intern events and present final project outcomes at the end of the program.
