Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead Engineer to oversee the Security Operations Center, drive proactive threat detection, and coordinate incident response.

You will manage a skilled SOC team, refine processes, and align security operations with business goals. Lead initiatives in threat intelligence, tool optimization, and compliance, while communicating risks to executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity operations with leadership experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC GCIH, or Security+.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDP/IDS, CASB/SASE, and vulnerability tools.
• Strong networking OS knowledge and scripting ability preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily SOC operations and lead a team of analysts and engineers.
• Coordinate threat detection, triage, containment, and post-incident reviews.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and malware analysis.
• Tune SIEM and other security tools, develop runbooks and playbooks.
• Develop security metrics, dashboards, and executive reports.
• Drive SOC strategy, tool evaluation, and compliance activities.
• Escalate complex incidents and coordinate with internal/external teams.
• Ensure 24/7 SOC coverage and continuous process improvements.
• Support accreditation efforts (CMMC, ISO 27001) and audits.
