Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead to oversee the 24/7 SOC, drive proactive threat detection, and coordinate incident response with IT and compliance. You will lead a team, optimize tools like Elastic SIEM and Nessus, and guide security strategy to protect critical aerospace data.

The role requires 5–10 years in security ops, TS/SCI clearance, and relevant certifications; you’ll report to the Director of IT & Cybersecurity and influence risk management across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of cybersecurity operations experience with 2-3 years in a leadership role.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC GCIH, or CompTIA Security+.
• Proficiency with SIEM/EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, CASB/SASE, NESSUS, Burp Suite and firewalls.
• Strong networking, OS (Windows/Linux/macOS) knowledge and scripting ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead SOC operations and supervise analysts and engineers.
• Oversee threat detection, incident response, and post-incident analysis.
• Coordinate threat hunting and malware investigations.
• Optimize security tools and automation; reduce false positives.
• Develop KPIs and executive threat posture reports.
