Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead to manage the SOC, drive proactive threat detection, and coordinate incident response. You will lead analysts and engineers, align security with business goals, and advance our compliance posture.

You will oversee SIEM monitoring, threat hunting, and tool optimization while collaborating with IT, compliance, and risk teams to safeguard critical assets across a fast-growing aerospace-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cybersecurity operations experience, with 2-3 years in a leadership role.
• TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• CISSP, CISM, GIAC GCIH, or CompTIA Security+ is a plus.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDP/IDS, CASB/SASE, Nessus, Burp Suite, and firewalls; scripting in Python/PowerShell.
• Strong networking and OS knowledge (Windows/MacOS/Linux); excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SOC team, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and professional development.
• Oversee security event monitoring with SIEM; coordinate incident response from triage to containment.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and deep investigations; integrate threat intelligence.
• Tune and optimize SOC tools; develop policies, playbooks, and automation.
• Develop and report KPIs/dashboards; brief executives on threats and posture.
• Contribute to SOC strategy, compliance efforts, risk assessments, and audits.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners during active threats.
• Ensure 24/7 SOC coverage and continuous process improvements.
• Assist with IT tickets and projects as needed.
