Parsons is hiring a Cybersecurity Policy Analyst to research, analyze, and translate cybersecurity requirements into clear, actionable policy guidance for a large organization. This onsite role in Maryland combines policy research, technical validation, and stakeholder coordination to strengthen cybersecurity governance across multiple security domains.

You will produce research summaries and briefing materials, support policy development, track policy actions, and represent analytical work in

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with cybersecurity policy.
Knowledge of governance, risk management, compliance, information security concepts.
Experience drafting or revising policies, procedures, standards, or executive‑level analyses.

Responsibilities

Research and analyze Federal, DoD, IC, and organizational cybersecurity policies and standards.
Review policies for accuracy, currency, consistency, and compliance.
Support policy development across information security, personnel security, physical security, and other areas.
Draft policy updates, guidance, SOPs, briefing materials, and decision papers.
Analyze proposed policy changes and assess impacts.
Identify gaps, conflicts, duplication, ambiguity and inconsistencies; recommend improvements.
Monitor threats, regulations, and industry practices.
Produce research summaries, policy analyses, issue papers, and leadership recommendations.
Facilitate policy working groups and coordinate with SMEs to validate technical content.
Track policy actions through comments, approvals, revisions, milestones.
