Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead to manage the Security Operations Center, drive threat detection, incident response, and continuous improvement. You will lead SOC analysts and engineers, coordinate with IT and compliance, and align security operations with business goals.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on SOC experience, and a drive to advance the organization’s security posture through proactive defense and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in cybersecurity operations with 2–3 years in leadership.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC GCIH, or CompTIA Security+.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, CASB/SASE, NESSUS, Burp Suite and firewalls.
• Strong networking and OS (Windows/MacOS/Linux) knowledge.
• Excellent communication and leadership under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the SOC team, including hiring, training, and evaluations.
• Oversee 24/7 security operations, monitoring, triage, containment, and post-incident reviews.
• Coordinate incident response and escalation with IT, compliance, and partners.
• Drive optimization of SOC tools, policies, and automation to reduce false positives.
• Develop KPIs and executive-ready threat and defense dashboards.
