Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a SOC Analyst to monitor, investigate, and respond to security activity across endpoints, identity, cloud services, networks, and mission-support environments at our Playa Vista, CA office.

You will handle alerts, logs, and investigations, write queries for SIEMs, and coordinate with IT and security teams to remediate incidents and improve resilience. This role requires active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required at time of hire.
• US Citizenship required.
• 2+ years in SOC, IR, threat detection, endpoint security, vulnerability management, or similar role.
• Experience investigating events using EDR, SIEM, identity, cloud, or network telemetry.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux, authentication, endpoint behavior, networking fundamentals, and cloud logging.
• Ability to write useful search queries/filters in a SIEM and document investigations for continuation by another analyst.
• Understanding of incident triage, scoping, containment, evidence preservation, escalation, vulnerability prioritization, and post-incident remediation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage security alerts from CrowdStrike, Elastic SIEM, Microsoft Identity, AWS, and Palo Alto.
• Investigate suspicious logins, phishing emails, privilege changes, and unusual network events.
• Escalate incidents based on affected systems, severity, and CUI impact.
• Collaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, and Network teams on security findings.
• Document incidents, required resolutions, and potentially affected assets.
• Maintain logging reviews and incident response docs with IT; collect evidence for vulnerability management and compliance reporting.
