Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to own security design across our cybersecurity infrastructure.

This hands-on role collaborates with IT, Engineering, and Operations to bake security into the design from the start. Responsibilities include creating security architecture for corporate and development environments, translating NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements into actionable designs, and working with CrowdStrike, Tenable, SIEM, and Palo Alto tooling to close

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on security engineering, cloud or infrastructure security experience.
• Ability to translate NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements into designs.
• Experience with cloud, SaaS, networks, endpoints and servers security.
• Clear architecture diagrams and technical decision documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create security architecture for corporate and development environments.
• Translate NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 into designs and steps for engineers.
• Work with CrowdStrike, Tenable, SIEM, and endpoint tools to remediate gaps.
• Support ATO and security activities with documentation and guidance.
• Coordinate with network/infrastructure teams on Palo Alto architecture and access controls.
• Define CUI boundaries, data flows, and diagrams as systems evolve.
