Per Scholas is seeking a Cybersecurity Instructor to deliver hands-on cybersecurity training for adult learners across fundamentals, security operations, and ethical hacking. You will mentor learners, monitor progress, and prepare students for industry certifications.

The role emphasizes experiential labs, real-world scenarios, and staying current with threats and tools while fostering an inclusive, high-expectation classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Teaching cybersecurity to adult learners with practical, hands-on labs.
• Certifications knowledge and ability to prepare learners for certification success.
• Experience with cybersecurity labs, cloud security, and current industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab-first instruction across cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking; guide learners through hands-on scenarios.
• Prepare learners for CompTIA Security+ and CISSP, linking concepts to real-world practices.
• Manage learner progress, provide feedback, offer office hours and coaching for completion and certification readiness.
• Mentor projects from threat analysis to implementation, testing, and demonstrations for employers.
• Inform curriculum and labs as SME, staying current on threats and best practices.
• Collaborate with staff to improve labs, rubrics, and learner outcomes in an inclusive environment.
