Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking a Cybersecurity Instructor to deliver hands-on, lab-first instruction across fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking. You will prepare learners for industry certifications and manage progress to ensure course completion and graduation.

Ideal candidates bring CISSP, Security+ or equivalent certifications, 3+ years in cybersecurity, and ability to teach adult learners in a fully remote setting, using LMS and virtual classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications and ability to teach adult learners.
• 3+ years of professional cybersecurity experience preferred.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into practical learning.
• Experience with cybersecurity labs and industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab-first instruction across cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking.
• Prepare learners for certifications including Security+ and CISSP.
• Manage learner progress, provide timely feedback, and coach for graduation.
• Mentor cybersecurity projects from scoping to demonstrations.
• Inform curriculum and stay current on threats and practices.
• Collaborate to improve labs and learning outcomes.
