Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking a Technical Instructor I, Cybersecurity for the Career Accelerator to deliver hands-on, lab-first instruction across cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking. The role emphasizes practical learning and real-world preparation in a remote setting.

You will guide learners toward industry certifications such as Security+ and CISSP, monitor progress, provide actionable feedback, mentor capstone projects, and help maintain current

Qualifications

• Cybersecurity professional with hands-on lab and teaching experience.
• Experience teaching adult learners and running cybersecurity labs.
• Ability to prepare learners for industry certifications (Security+, CISSP) and capstone projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab-first instruction across cybersecurity topics and hands-on scenarios.
• Prepare learners for industry certifications, including Security+ SY0-701 and CISSP, with practical teaching.
• Monitor learner progress, provide feedback, and offer coaching for course completion.
• Mentor cybersecurity projects and capstones from scoping to demonstrations.
• Inform curriculum with current threats and best practices.
• Collaborate with staff to enhance labs and rubrics while maintaining high standards.
