Job summary

Per Scholas is hiring a Cybersecurity Instructor who will deliver hands-on instruction across cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking in a fully remote setting for career-accelerator programs.

You will prepare learners for industry certifications such as Security+ and CISSP, monitor progress, and provide actionable feedback to help students complete courses and graduate successfully.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional cybersecurity expertise across fundamentals, network security, IAM, SecOps, and endpoint security.
• Strong knowledge of Security+ and CISSP domains; ability to prepare learners for certification.
• Ability to teach ethical hacking, reconnaissance, scanning, vulnerability identification, and exploitation.
• Experience teaching adult learners and using cybersecurity labs and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab-first instruction across cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking.
• Prepare learners for CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications and connect concepts to real-world practices.
• Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback, coaching, and office hours.
• Mentor projects from scoping through demonstrations and graduation.
• Collaborate to improve labs, rubrics, and learner outcomes.
