Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will lead governance, risk assessments, and incident response while collaborating with legal, compliance, and IT teams to protect critical assets.

You will guide security controls, oversee third‑party risk, and mentor engineers, with a focus on NIST CSF and PCI-DSS aligned controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field is required.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with leadership or architect experience.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of a cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design secure IT environments, including network, cloud, IAM, and data protection, with regulatory alignment.
• Oversee security controls for on-prem and cloud infrastructure with defense-in-depth.
• Conduct risk assessments for technologies, ensuring standards and policies are met.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework and incident response processes.
