Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design and deliver a robust security architecture across on-prem and cloud environments, aligning with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and other standards. You will lead security strategy, governance, and incident response, partnering with IT, legal, and operations.

The role demands 10+ years in cybersecurity, 5+ in leadership, and deep hands-on expertise with SIEM, IDS/IPS, VPNs, DLP, and cloud security services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role or as a cybersecurity architect.
• Extensive experience in security architecture design for enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM, DLP, endpoint protection, and encryption solutions.
• Proficiency in cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) including IAM and cloud-native security services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Design secure IT environments and systems with network, cloud, endpoint security and data protection.
• Architect and implement security controls for on-prem and cloud infrastructure with defense-in-depth.
• Conduct risk assessments of current and emerging tech to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework with policies and standards.
• Lead incident response efforts and coordinate with legal, compliance, and communications teams.
