Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design and maintain the enterprise security architecture across on‑prem and cloud environments.

You will lead risk assessments, develop governance frameworks, and implement security controls aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. You will mentor security engineers, coordinate with legal/compliance, and drive incident response readiness across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and CIS.
• Experience with security technologies: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM, DLP, encryption.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments including cloud and on‑prem systems.
• Oversee security controls, risk assessments, and governance framework.
• Collaborate with executives to define strategy and incident response.
